Eleven stores on one stock ledger
Stock counts stopped disagreeing between the shop floor and the warehouse.
- stores unified
- 11 stores unified
- stock write-offs
- -41% stock write-offs
The problem
Each store kept its own spreadsheet and synced to head office weekly. Transfers between stores were entered twice, and write-offs hid the difference.
What we did
- 01
Replaced weekly exports with a single stock ledger — every movement is an event, nothing is edited in place.
- 02
Gave store managers a tablet flow for transfers and receipts that works during a network outage.
- 03
Rebuilt the head-office report on top of the ledger, so numbers reconcile by construction.
Where it landed
Head office sees stock as of now. Transfers are one entry, and the write-off line stopped being a place to hide errors.
