The problem
Planning happened in a spreadsheet that was accurate for about an hour. Sales promised dates the floor could not confirm or refuse.
What we did
- 01
Modelled the order as stages with explicit hand-offs, so a delay has an owner instead of a rumour.
- 02
Installed simple terminals at each line — one screen, three buttons, usable with gloves on.
- 03
Fed real cycle times back into the promise date shown to sales.
Where it landed
Sales quote dates the floor has already agreed to, and a slipping order raises its hand the same day.
